This report—which relies on an extensive literature review and interviews with prosecutors around the country—begins to catalog current AI uses in prosecution; imagine future ones; and examine AI’s potential benefits and risks in the field. The paper is intended to stimulate discussion and development of best practices around the use of AI in prosecution.
