The lawsuits tell shocking stories: lives derailed, permanent injuries, and lasting damage. At the same time, the lawsuits show activists fiercely committed to exposing police harm, seeking redress, and fighting for forward-looking reform.We publish this report to amplify their stories and light a way forward for cities, states, and the federal government to fundamentally reposition their responses to protest.
