A Large-Scale Analysis of Racial Disparities in Police Stops Across the United States

A working paper report that analyzes a dataset of nearly 100 million traffic stops carried out by state and local law enforcement agencies around the US. Researchers looked at racial bias in police stops and thresholds for searching vehicles among black, white, and Hispanic individuals, as well as effects of marijuana legalization on police stops.
