To support and help strengthen the work of advocates and organizers, the Hub is committed to providing and uplifting up-to-date research, reports, data, model policies, toolkits and other resources. We do this by searching for, categorizing, and making available existing resources from partner organizations and others working on issues related to policing. When needed, the Hub also produces its own research in collaboration with partners. This resource database is categorized, easy to search, and regularly updated by our research team.

John Jay College of Criminal Justice
This toolkit draws on the insight of Working Group members as well as existing data and research in order to provide actionable and adaptable steps for prosecutors and communities to prevent and address officer-involved fatalities and other critical incidents in their local jurisdictions.

A report on changes being made in Milwaukee around policing policies on the use of stop-and-frisk, police misconduct, data accessibility, and police training.
UW-Milwaukee Center for Urban Initiatives & Research
A report on the results of a survey that measured resident perceptions regarding a range of issues relevant to the Milwaukee Police Department. This includes satisfaction with and trust in the police, perceptions of safety and police visibility, views on various kinds of police contacts, and exposure to crime. The survey was structured to provide estimates of both city-wide opinion as well as estimates of opinion within each police district.
ACLU of Northern California
Between 2001-2016, Fresno PD officers were involved in 146 officer-involved shootings. This high number of shootings, its disparate impact on low-income communities and communities of color, and the department’s policies and practices have significantly damaged police-community relationships. This report incorporates the voices of community stakeholders and recommends a hierarchy of reforms based on their financial feasibility.

This report represents the culmination of 18 months of research, field work, and national discussions on police use of force, especially in situations involving persons with mental illness and cases where subjects do not have firearms.
The President’s Task Force on 21st Century Policing
A report with recommendations for reforming policing, each with action items organized around six main topic areas or “pillars:” Building Trust and Legitimacy, Policy and Oversight, Technology and Social Media, Community Policing and Crime Reduction, Officer Training and Education, and Officer Safety and Wellness.
Police Data Initiative
The Police Data Initiative (PDI) represents the great work and leadership of more than 130 law enforcement agencies who have released more than 200 datasets to date, and originated as a result of several recommendations in the Task Force on 21st Century Policing that focused on technology and transparency.
